Britons have been advised to stay safe when on the beach, as a recently-published report claims that the variable summer weather has led to more risk-taking from holidaymakers at sea.

Despite continuing competition from destinations overseas, increasing numbers of Britons are holidaying in the UK at least once a year, it has been claimed.
